Without the wind to take me,
to the lands far away?
Stuck below the scorching sun
Over the deep deep ocean,
Just heavy and really grey.
If I were a story teller what would I be
If I just lost my memory?
No experiences to relate
What's fiction in what I 'remember',
Questioning, my emotions astir,
Such would be my state.
If I were life what would I be,
Without a history,
Of my existence?
No knowledge of past or identity,
No associations to land and city,
Lacking a directional sense
I'm grateful our lives are intertwined,
God sent a soul to help me find
My strength, my direction and my story.
