The foreigner comes first

Screeching and shouting ,
and blaring horns,
Without a brake,
like breathless songs

I make my way through
the crowded street,
Riding my bike, checking
Facebook and tweet.

Multi tasking is natural,
in the work that I do,
It has even taught me that
patience is not a virtue.

It is only meant, for
the weak and the small,
Not for me , who stands
strong and tall .

Who is that overtaking
me from the right?
Beware brother, I am not
new to a fight.

I have my weapons
And strategies planned,
I can ride over everything,
Whether stone or sand

I dont care if ,
the red light glows,
Maybe its meant for,
The chickens and the crows,

The foot path is a higher
Pedestal to ride,
Built for kings like me,
Open and wide ,

Now decide for yourself,
Would you take a chance,
Humiliate yourself watching,
My victory dance?

Its not my fault brother,
I've got to get to work,
Without me the complete,
World will go berserk,

My customer is waiting
In Germany and USA ,
I've got to take command,
Before its even day,

It doesn't matter to me,
If my country is dying of thirst,
All that I have in mind,
Is, the foreigner comes first.

Expressions

You are...

The smile on my face,
When I pictured you,
The sigh of distaste,
When it wasn't true,

The twinkle in my eye,
When I saw the snowy peak,
The thoughts in disguise,
When its solitude I seek,

The joy of living every day,
Singing a new tune,
Or just relaxing away,
On a warm summer noon,

The reason I have taken,
To writing once again,
Finding thoughts forsaken,
The bliss and the pain.

You are my expression,
You are my solitude.
I will love you forever,
And thats the absolute.

Yesteryear Hero

The inventor of surgery,
The creator of zero,
Among other wonderful names,
Also a martial arts hero.

These are what you answer when,
The question comes your way,
Did I forget to metion,
About the Gods that you pray?

The land where many faiths,
Have taken birth to travel far,
But, along all these years , my friend,
Haven't you yet raised the bar?

All the answers that you give are,
Atleast a thousand years old,
Wake up, my young and worthy men,
You're being forfotten in the cold.

Its alright to say that you're still,
Part of the great world of science,
Or you've been a part of an invention,
Useful to modern times,

But, that isn't just enough,
You need to get some credit too,
Be recognised for you ability,
Make the world take notice of you.

Raise the bar higher with
Every goal that you surpass,
Sow the seeds of prosperity,
Make hay of the already dry grass.

Directions

Never ending blades of grass across,
Thousands of kilo metres,
Hundreds of trees spread along,
The beautiful land features,

The sky filled with dark clouds above,
But for a window into time,
The brown leaves dance below,
To the powerful cosmic chime.

Lives and things, all transported,
To the future and into the past,
Do you believe they are only mirrors,
Only the present will ever last?

I write while I'm in my present,
Will you read it in the future?
Or will it still be 'now' to you
Willt Time or Space be your teacher?

A Proposal

The rising sun beyond the sea,
The rose that blooms along,
The rustling leaves, the waking tree,
The bird that sings a song ,

The setting moon behing the clouds,
Waves hitting the shore with might,
The whispering wind singing aloud,
Eyes of the owl that preys at night,

With all respect, to you oh Lord,
These creations are not your best,
There is a vision that has evolved,
Setting a benchmark for the rest,

Oh lady your beauty is beyond compare,
To all in heaven and Earth,
Accept my love, oh lady so fair,
Giving meaning to my birth.

Full Mental - How Kavi lost her brain

Kavi, Kavi, my dear friend,
Tell me, Tell me, are you not in pain?
Why do you answer with the typical laugh,
It makes me think, have you lost your brain?

Maybe that's the reason why,
You end up acting like this,
But tell me, how did you end up, Kavi,
In this highest state of bliss?

Did you have a fall when you were young,
And forget your fallen brains,
Or did you just not find it because,
It was but the size of a small rice grain?

Or did you attempt a tight rope walk,
Walking not ahead, but behind,
Alas, to lose your balance,
Not physical, but of the mental kind?

Or maybe you found it heavy,
While you were still in your mother's womb,
Remembering just as they pulled you out,
That your brains are not with you,

Poor doctor what did he know,
That when you cried as you came outside,
It was not just of the normal kind,
But for having kept your brains aside

But whatever be the reason Kavi,
That you act the way you do,
We still love you just as much,
Because you make us laugh too.

Echo

Standing at the very edge,
Right above the valley,
Shouting out into the air,
Waiting to hear an echo.

But all that I hear is the wind,
Howling into my ears,
Screaming from all directions it is,
Moist and brimming with tears

"The voice shall not call back", it screams,
"Only a loss shall you incur"
But it is difficult for me to move on when,
The sight is so spectacular.
